Ski Trip at Gobbler's Roost, VA

So, we're about 4 days out from our upcoming Ski Trip in Virginia and figured I would share some info on the place we will be staying at.

We will be staying at Gobbler's Roost at the Massanutten Resort, VA USA. It's located roughly 2 hours away from Washington DC, and about 15 miles from Harrisonburg, VA.

The log Cabin features 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, wood walls, bamboo floors, ceramic floors, granite kitchen counters, high ceilings, big windows, high-speed Internet and gas grill. The first bedroom incorporates 2 twin beds while the second bedroom has 2 sets of twin bunk beds to total 4 beds. Both bedrooms share a full bath. The Master Suite which is located upstairs has a Queen Size bed, it's own personal shower, and a private deck with a spectacular view.

Amenities include: Air Conditioning, Linens, Washer and Dryer, Covered Parking, and off street parking, Cable/Satellite TV, CD Player, Foosball, DVD/Stereo System, Video Library, shared pool, telephone, broadband Internet, WiFi, and a Gas/Electric BBQ grill.

The Kitchen is a "Full" kitchen which includes: Dishwasher, cooking utensils, microwave, stove, and refrigerator.

Nearby activities include the following: Golf, shopping, rafting, biking, snowboarding, hiking, spelunking, racquetball, movie theaters, horseback riding, tennis, sightseeing, kayaking, mountain biking, sledding/tubing, fishing, fitness centers, basketball courts, museums, zoo/wildlife park, restaurants, swimming, downhill/alpine skiing, wildlife viewing, hunting, health/beauty spa, antiquing, and miniature golf. I'm sure there's also a lot more to do as well.

The rates vary from the Low Season to Holidays to Peak Season and are subject to change but can be viewed at the home page, http://www.vrbo.com/159551 You can also reach the resort owners for information toll free at (800) 644-1355 or locally at (540) 289-9033. Complete information, reviews, and pictures are also available at the homepage. Upon completion of our Ski trip (February 27th-March 2nd 2009), I will be sure to write my own complete review of my stay there. Happy reading and let me know what you think!

What a Night

So, it's 10:00am Thursday morning and I have been up for a little over an hour which is early for me unless I got drunk the night prior. (Which seems to be the case with this minor hang over) So, with me being up this early and not able to go back to bed I just felt like writing. Last night was a blast. We had our weekly APA Match last night as we do on all Wednesdays. For those of you know don't know what APA is, it stands for American Poolplayers Association. I stomped my opponents ass even though he was ranked 2 higher than me. Needless to say, he left immediately afterwards and their team Captain wasn't too happy :) I usually try not to get drunk on these nights because I am a very sloppy shooter after about the 6th beer, but after I won there was no need to stay sober any longer as I didn't have to play again that night. So, Scott begins to buy shots, oh lord. After we swept the other team 4 matches to 1, it was on. Shot here, beer there, and the night was done before I knew it. I was invited to a 7 day cruise evidently sometime in March and was told I had by Friday to let them know if I was able to make it or not. I've never been on one and would like to go, but just not so sure yet. I've been trying to do a lot of new things lately that I've never done before. I've never been skiing before, and have a Ski Trip in Virginia from the 27th of this month to March 2nd. Should be interesting :) Recently I started playing Tennis with a good friend, and must say I love the game. The day after the first time I played, I could barely crawl out of bed I was so sore. Tennis works muscles I never knew existed. Well, here I go rambling. So, with my hang over seeming to fade away after I took those 2 ibuprofen about an hour ago, I think I may crawl back into bed, cut the TV on and possibly fall back asleep for about an hour or two before I start my day. Thanks for reading and hope to hear back from you again!
